ECE staff member wins Staff Council Award

Congratulations to Monique Wimberly, Graduate Programs Coordinator in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, for being the February 2017 Staff Appreciation Award recipient.  Monique was nominated by her co-worker Xuan Uribe, who wrote, “Monique found ways to effectively use time and resources to serve a growing student body by establishing new efforts, updating existing ones to be more useful, such as orientation, seminars, and graduation audit. She is also responsible for student-engagement events that get the students involved with the department.  After our department staffing reduced, Monique ensured that operations continued, assisted undergraduates, and trained new hires, on top of her existing duties. Because of her tireless efforts, the ECE Department continues to run efficiently today and she continues to be an asset to the department and university with her critical thinking, sharp technical skills and knowledge, and desire to deliver excellence in all that she does.”  Once again, congratulations to Monique Wimberly. Thank you for your continued excellence and contribution to the university and our students.Screen Shot 2017-03-14 at 12.55.11 PM
